The Rotary Club of Beirut Cosmopolitan was delighted to participate, alongside the Rotary Clubs of Beirut Cedars, Beirut Cadmos, de Beyrouth, and fellow Rotary friends, in a remarkable evening held at the Smallville Hotel featuring the talented composer and musician Harout Fazlian.
More than a presentation about music, it was an inspiring journey into the very soul of artistic creation. With passion, sensitivity, and authenticity, Harout shared his vision of music as a universal language capable of expressing emotions that words often fail to convey. He explained how melodies are born, how inspiration takes shape, and how music can become a bridge between cultures, memories, and human experiences.
The audience was captivated by his profound understanding of music; not merely as an art form, but as a living expression of emotion, creativity, and humanity. His reflections allowed us to discover the intimate relationship between the composer, the work, and the listener.
We extend our sincere appreciation to Harout Ferzlian for sharing his talent, wisdom, and passion with us. It was a truly enriching evening filled with culture, inspiration, fellowship, and meaningful exchange.
A wonderful gathering that reminded us once again of the power of the arts to bring people together and elevate the human spirit.

Today, the Service Committee carried out a donation initiative in collaboration with Gift of Life Lebanon, under the leadership of Lina Shehayeb.
Representing the Rotary Club of Beirut Cosmopolitan were PP Mona Jarudi, Rtn Lucie Sassine, PP Joe Boulos, Rtn Bernard Jabre, and P Olga Feghali.
We first gathered at the Gift of Life depot in Mkalles, where 50 boxes of essential cleaning, household, and personal care products, contributed by our club, were prepared for distribution to refugee families and people in need.

The donations were then delivered to BASSMA and the Lebanese School for the Blind and Deaf (LSBD).

An inspiring and beautiful Country Conference Lebanon 2026 yesterday at Le Royal Hotel Beirut, under the leadership of District Governor May Monla Chmaytelly.
A day filled with fellowship, learning, friendship, and true Rotary spirit, with remarkable interventions by DDG Randa Zaouk, CLF Chawkat Houalla, PDG Jamil Moawad, PDG Michel Jazzar, PP Najah Elias, AG Ousama Chedid, AG Emil Mouawad, and DRR Fadi Hammoud.

With heartfelt appreciation, I would like to thank you for the outstanding Presidents Elect and Secretaries Elect Learning Seminar (PELS/SELS) 2026–2027, held on May 1st at the Royal Hotel Dbayeh under the inspiring theme “Active Learning for Impactful Leadership.”
This remarkable initiative brought together, for the very first time, Rotary Presidents Elect and Secretaries Elect alongside Rotaract Presidents Elect and Secretaries Elect, creating a truly meaningful and forward-looking platform of unity and collaboration.

On Saturday, May 2, 2026, the Rotary Club of Beirut Cosmopolitan proudly welcomed two new members, Abdo Kmeid and Camille Raymond Zard, into its Rotary family during a beautiful and elegant pinning ceremony held at Beit Kanz.
Conducted with the utmost respect for Rotary protocol, the ceremony was led by Deputy District Governor Randa Zaouk and Past District Governor Georges Azar, in the presence of District Secretary Dr. Samar Saab, fellow Rotarians, and distinguished guests.
In a refined and warm atmosphere, all attendees enjoyed a sumptuous lunch marked by true fellowship and camaraderie. This special moment reflected the very essence of Rotary: service, integrity, and unity.
We are honored to welcome members of such quality and values, who will undoubtedly be an asset in advancing our mission of Service Above Self and uniting for the good of our community.

President Ghassan Hajjar , RC Beirut Cedars, led a delegation of Rotary Clubs Presidents for a visit to the presidential palace to meet with the President of Lebanese Republic Joseph Aoun.
President Hajjar presented the noble work that Rotarians in Lebanon have been doing especially in the time of crises and disasters. PDDG Mona Kanaan , president of the Lebanese Food Bank presented the work of the organization to alleviate hunger for the thousands of people displaced. Also, the plan for water sanitation to provide the Lebanese Army with clean water was presented to President Aoun as a country project.

This visit was significant as it further highlights the importance of Rotary mission to improve livelihoods and promote peace through healthier communities.

On March 25, 2026, President Olga Feghali made a personal donation of $1,000 in the name of the Rotary Club Beirut Cosmopolitan to support families in Ain Ebel and Rmeich.
The contribution helped provide vans loaded with essential food items and hygiene supplies, including halawa, yeast, canned goods, powdered milk, tea, tissues, shampoo, soap, toothpaste, and other basic necessities for families facing difficult circumstances.

As part of this humanitarian initiative supporting displaced families sheltered in public schools, our club contributed USD 500, while members of Rotary Club Beirut Cosmopolitan generously donated an additional USD 400. This contribution helps rehabilitate the water and sanitation facilities, improving living conditions for hundreds of displaced people and ensuring the school will be ready to welcome students again in the future.

Rotary Beirut Cosmopolitan organized this initiative during these difficult times marked by crisis, sorrow, and displacement affecting many families, with the valued participation of Rotaract Beirut Cosmopolitan, who joined us in the distribution activities.
Through the collective efforts of the Rotary Club Beirut Cosmopolitan and its members, a total of $2,000 was raised.
From this amount, $1,000 was allocated to organize an Iftar for 40 children, during which hoodies and sweet bags were also distributed, bringing comfort and smiles to their faces.
The hoodies and sweet packages were delivered today in the presence of P. Olga Feghali and Rotarian Lucie Sassine from the Rotary Club of Beirut Cosmopolitan, as well as President Patil Harmandayan, President of Rotaract Beirut Cosmopolitan. The gifts were then taken to the children at their place of residence.
The remaining $1,000 was donated to the Children’s Cancer Center of Lebanon (CCCL) in support of children battling serious illnesses.
This initiative reflects a heartfelt expression of solidarity, compassion, and commitment to supporting those who need it most.
In support of the Lebanese School for Blind and Deaf, the Rotary Club of Beirut Cosmopolitan hosted an evening featuring the musical, Ana Wa Guevara, with a newer production by the Sabbagh Brothers.
Many thanks go to the Rotary Clubs of Aley, Beirut Cadmos, Beirut Cedars, Beirut Center, Beirut Liberty, Hammana Upper Metn, Kesrouan, Lebanon Eco, Zgharta Zawie, Rotaract Beirut Cosmopolitan, and Rotaract Kesrouan, and to all members and guests of the clubs who contributed to the success of the event.
It was a true expression of Rotarians and community coming together to honor Inclusion and Rotary’s motto, Service Above Self.
On February 6,2026, Rotary District 2452 held the District Membership Seminar at Beithania , Harissa.
Rotary Club Beirut Cosmopolitan was represented by the President and Membership Committee.
The meeting covered comprehensively the status of membership in Lebanon, and different approaches to attract and retain members.
