What a wonderful beginning to our Rotary Foundation Seminar in Cairo!

Our evening started with a delightful cocktail reception at the elegant Steigenberger El Tahrir Hotel, where we had the great pleasure of reuniting with our dear friend PDG Abdul Hamid El Awa, District Rotary Foundation Chair (2025–2028), District 2451, Egypt, who welcomed us with such kindness and generosity.

Our heartfelt gratitude goes to him and the Egyptian organizing team for their warm hospitality and remarkable dedication to bringing Rotarians together.

Accompanied by our wonderful Lebanese delegation, we then enjoyed an enchanting dinner cruise aboard the magnificent Nile Maxim, surrounded by Cairo’s sparkling lights, beautiful music, laughter, and a truly festive international atmosphere.

What a joy to reconnect with dear Rotary friends from around the world, discover new friendships, and share memorable moments with fellow Rotarians from different countries!

A particularly meaningful encounter was meeting Panayotis Katrougalos, a distinguished member of the Greek Rotary delegation, as we look forward with great enthusiasm to the forthcoming signing of the Greece–Lebanon Intercountry Committee (ICC) agreement, strengthening the bonds of friendship and cooperation between our two countries.

An unforgettable evening filled with warmth, friendship, cultural exchange, and the extraordinary spirit of our international Rotary family.

Because Rotary is not only about serving communities. It is also about building bridges between nations, bringing people together, and creating friendships that last a lifetime.
